Job Summary: This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, Office of the Executive Director of Facilities Operations, House Office Buildings (HOB), Administrative and Operational Support Section. The incumbent provides management and program analysis support to the Administrative Officer on the Jurisdiction’s program operations.

Qualifications: You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. Candidates for the GS-13 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-12) grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: Conducting studies of administrative and functional work processes to identify, analyze and recommend solutions to deficiencies in organizational structure, staffing, administrative procedures, work processes and workload distribution; Developing project plans, planning and organizing the study, coordinating with staff and line management personnel and conducting all phases of the project to gather clear-cut factual evidence of ineffective workflow and/or non-compliance with organizational regulations; and Presenting briefings on issues and corrective actions both orally and in writing to leadership on recommendations to resolve problems of ineffectiveness and inefficiency of program operations.
