PwC New Zealand's Managed Services help businesses optimise core functions like Finance, HR, Cyber, and Procurement by taking over complex tasks, leveraging technology, and providing ongoing expert support to improve efficiency and achieve strategic goals. Our team offer solutions from fully managed cyber defence (MCD) for 24/7 security to transforming financial operations and enhancing procurement, all backed by PwC's global expertise and local insights.
We’re looking for an experienced Risk & Quality (R&Q) expert to join our Managed Services in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring PwC delivers quality outcomes while meeting its regulatory, risk, and independence obligations.
In this role, you will:
Act as a technical expert on Managed Services R&Q policies and procedures, including advising the Governance supporting new business
Provide expert guidance on Managed Services offerings, risk profiles, contracting, and quality management
Assess new business and engagements, applying appropriate safeguards in line with global independence requirements
Support the Global Quality Engagement Programme, ensuring quality and consistency across engagements
Lead the resolution of complex risk, independence, and compliance matters with sound judgment
Prepare and present high-quality Executive and Board-level reporting
Stay ahead of emerging risks and new service models such as AI and Managed Services
Collaborate with global and local R&Q teams to implement network policies and strengthen compliance
Explore and apply GenAI and automation tools to enhance risk management and reporting
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
Operational:
A minimum of 6 years’ experience in Managed Services with at least 2 years in a risk based role. A background in Managed Services operations including an understanding the key areas around the service areas, commercials, contracting and risk elements on which to advise the Firm.
Technical (not limited to):
Risk - is a technical expert in MS Risk & Quality policies and procedures and the associated compliance requirements to a sufficient level of detail to be able to advise on new deals and existing engagements
New business - has a demonstrated track record of assessing new engagements, risk profiles and applying associated safeguards.
Quality delivery - understands the key areas on which to deliver quality engagements
Services - understands the Managed Services offerings and technical requirements
Risk management - has experience in effective management of risk matters and disputes
New services - is across new and emerging services as they relate to - AI and AMS
R&Q function - understands and can advise on the R&Q MS function so that it supports the Firm in an efficient manner while managing risk
Quality Assurance - has performed Independent Quality Assessments on MS based engagements
Reporting - ability to prepare Executive and Board reports and papers to a high standard
