POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

This position supports the operating site in Pengerang Malaysia operation. Receives, plans and schedules major maintenance activities (including predictive/preventive, corrective maintenance and modification projects) to optimize utilization of all resources and facilitate safe, smooth and cost-effective execution within budget and schedule.

Act as turnaround planner/coordinator for all turnarounds. This position also is responsible for managing site maintenance supervisors and technicians in organizing, planning and implementing all maintenance activities for all Pengerang MY facilities to ensure the plant reliability is at the optimum level. Also the incumbent in this position is jointly responsible to ensure that the highest safety standard is maintained during work execution.

Nature and scope

Responsible for verification of work scope, identifying resources (e.g. manpower, inventoried spares, external material and services) required and raise purchase requisitions. Ensure smooth coordination with procurement, warehouse/supply chain, vendors and contractors till completion and closure of work.

Administer and use computerized maintenance management system to plan/schedule and consolidate all relevant maintenance information for prompt, accurate and effective maintenance reporting.

Functionally lead site unplanned and planned maintenance activities towards reliable plant operation from the all aspects of maintenance.

When required, the person will need to provide support to other sites in SEA region (when required).

The person will work closely with other stakeholders, with technical team from other sites and Operation Technical Support (OTS) team on standard and best practices deployment to site under care.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Plan and schedule major maintenance activities to optimize utilization of all resources and facilitate safe, smooth and cost effective execution within budget and schedule.
  • Plan and schedule turnarounds. Responsible as turnaround coordinator by organizing and lead maintenance resources. Chair turnaround meetings, reviews and prepares schedule, progress and post-turnaround review reports.
  • Responsible for predictive/preventive maintenance planning and scheduling. Ensure safe and effective execution and schedule compliant including reporting. Review effectiveness of predictive/preventive maintenance program (by using various tools – e.g. RCM, FMEA, etc. and inspection techniques – e.g. oil analyses, other NDT). Ensure compliant with corporate MI program.
  • Support plant reliability improvement activities. Ensure action items are targeting at eliminating root causes in failures by using the effective tools such as FMEA, RCM or ARCA. Ensure follow-up actions are implemented promptly to closure.
  • To lead all site regular preventive maintenance programs as per SAP PM02 with safe and appropriate task execution methodologies.
  • To ensure that maintenance PPE and tools are routinely audited and inventory reported to the plant manager.
  • Together with site manager, to ensure critical spare parts are maintained as per safety stock level and participate in stock count activities.
  • To responsible for site contractor BSP and its implementation effectiveness to meet SEA sub-region EH&S target
  • Ensure all maintenance information (e.g. equipment history records and fault reports) is accurately and promptly updated and maintained.
  • To actively and effectively participate in EH&S activities, best practices initiation and sharing, continuous improvements and productivity initiatives.
  • To keep abreast with the latest technological developments in operations and maintenance of gas manufacturing industry.
  • The person shall assist plant manager but not limited to MOC preparation and execution, SWP and HIRARC review
  • To support FMEA analysis, Risk Analysis, RCM work, Operator Basis Care, Autonomous maintenance activities, continuous improvement project and etc.
  • To promote an atmosphere of team spirit through good example, open communication, good listening and timely problem resolutions.
  • To initiate, monitor and lead continuous efforts in ensuring plant maintenance expenses control within the budget
  • Ensure accurate records and related maintenance logs are kept and updated. Adhere to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, Halal recertification and FSMS procedures where applicable and support the formulation of related standards as per business requirements.
  • Facilitate audits processes to assess the compliances of AP On site operations activities against to AP’s standard or relevant applicable standards and to close the findings (i.e., ISO standards, AP Corporate EHS audits, Halal recertification audits, customer audits).
  • Other responsibilities assigned according to operations and business requirements from time to time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in E&I/Mechanical Engineering and 6 years of working experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in plant operations, preferably with exposures in maintenance management specifically planning and scheduling (including turnarounds).
