Agropur is looking for a Maintenance and Operations Buyer to join its Beauceville team. The Maintenance and Operations Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services to ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials, supplies, and required services, while meeting standards (safety, quality, good manufacturing practices, and costs).
They develop and manage relationships with suppliers and act as the link between the strategic purchasing and development team, requesters, recipients, accounts payable, and the master data management team.

Salary range 003: $61,400 to $76,800 (Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and job-related skills.)
What’s involved in this role
The Maintenance and Operations Buyer will have the following main responsibilities:
Analyze requests, handle sourcing and purchasing of goods and services for the plant (production, maintenance, engineering, shipping, and laboratory departments).
Complete and confirm orders with supplier delivery timelines.
Monitor delivery deadlines for orders.
Handle all notices (discrepancies and disputes) related to supplier transactions and manage business relationships with non-strategic suppliers.
Comply with and implement policies, processes, and procedures to minimize risks, optimize the supply chain, and reduce costs with non-strategic suppliers.
Prepare multiple bids.
Propose sourcing strategies.
Keep the Interal maintenance database up to date.
Evaluate suppliers and opportunities.
Analyze supplier performance.
Actively seek cost-saving opportunities with other suppliers.
Research new material and service needs.
Support the maintenance manager in budget tracking and reporting variances.
What you need to join our team
Training in industrial maintenance or other relevant education.
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role or in industrial maintenance.
Ability to use an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Computer skills: MS Office, SAP, Interal, Coupa.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and intermediate English skills (English required to work with colleagues from other Canadian provinces).
