About the Role

The Trend Leading Hospitality Sales Manager is the personification of Diageo’s ambition: to become the best-performing and most trusted consumer goods company in the world, while building category-leading partnerships with industry-leading outlets.

We are looking for someone with a sophisticated sense of style who can represent both themselves and our products in a way that reflects the image and values of our premium brands. You possess strong knowledge of brand building and production processes, understanding that you are selling the history and heritage of the brands you represent.

You are well connected within the German bartending and hospitality scene, with a solid understanding of wholesale and retail businesses, and a proven track record of building brands in trend-leading environments.

You have a strong affinity for premium brands and an in-depth understanding of the discerning, sophisticated consumer and how to engage them. You establish and maintain excellent relationships with key influencers within the industry and beyond, and you know the most relevant places to be.

You engage with decision-makers across the hospitality network to ensure perfect execution within our outlet universe. Your role goes beyond placement - our work is complete only when our products are visible to consumers and brought to life by driving awareness and brand passion.

Top Accountabilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Trend Leading Hospitality universe
  • Sell high-end products within a premium market
  • Own the commercial performance of approximately 150 premium customers, including restaurants, bars, clubs, and hotels
  • Lead Diageo’s distribution, activation, promotion, and innovation agenda for the high-end portfolio within the defined outlet universe
  • Ensure our brands are available and perfectly visible across back bars, menus, and shelving
  • Negotiate and structure contracts with hospitality partners to ensure outstanding execution of the premium portfolio
  • Develop profitable activation programs in partnership with customers and ensure these are reflected in commercial agreements
  • Ensure all activities and initiatives are accurately tracked in the CRM system

About You

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with high-net-worth and affluent customers
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and align them with Diageo’s portfolio plans
  • Solid understanding of industry trends, social influences, brands, and key business drivers
  • Highly skilled in building and maintaining professional networks and relationships
  • Understanding of mixology, a passion for spirits, and the ability to deliver strong execution while engaging customers, consumers, and relevant partners
