How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

JOB SUMMARY: Contribute to the needs of our customers by working with the logistics and distribution team to ensure all manufactured goods are administered, labelled, checked and packed in line with agreed service levels both in the UK and export market. All goods packed to specific customer specifications and clearly communicated to the shipping team to ensure accurate documentation is created for shipping dangerous goods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintaining high company health and safety standards, always ensuring that company rules and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Ensuring companies’ quality expectations are met. Striving to meet customers’ demands and giving customers the best experience where possible.
  • Working efficiently whilst maintaining health and safety rules plus quality standards, ensuring companies strict production deadlines and delivery targets are met.
  • Work with the purchasing clerk to ensure all business-critical materials are stocked correctly for Logistics requirements.
  • Record necessary product traceability and daily job count.
  • Ensure companies manual handling processes are followed
  • Maintain company housekeeping standards.
  • Report any issues regarding safety/quality to the management team.
  • Achieve and exceed daily targets and KPI’s set by your line manager.

  • The packing of dangerous goods and non-dangerous goods to the exact standards outlined in the work instructions including building pallets.
  • Communicate with the shipping department to ensure accurate dangerous goods paperwork is created. Support shipping department with labelling of export boxes when necessary.
  • Use Sage system to create delivery notes for UK orders and create manifests at the end of each working day. Use courier online portals to create daily collections.
  • Label Non refillable, High pressure and equipment following customer instructions and company work instructions.
  • Complete manual processes such as Waterbath, Crimping and tagging for necessary customer orders.
  • Liaise with collection drivers to help load/unload parcels safely

Required Education & Experience:

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work and communicate with all employees including managers and external visitors, showing respect at all times. ● Good written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, Google Apps, Microsoft Office
  • Math GCSE C or above (Or equivalent)
  • English GCSE D or above (Or equivalent)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Computer literate with Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as Google applications
  • Ability to define and solve problems dealing with a variety of both abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to work both individually and promote a team environment across departments and shifts, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility with respect to shifts and overtime, with a customer focused approach in order to meet demand.
