Job Description

Job title - Logistics Operations Coordinator

Department - LOGISTICS

Reports to Logistics Manager

Location - PORTAL MILL, MELKSHAM

Job summary

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the planning team to help us achieve the best possible service to our customers. You will achieve this through gaining an understanding of the full Logistics operation, liaising with our customers, both external and internal and building processes that benefit all.  In this role, you will provide coverage during team leave to ensure the operation can continue to operate at the highest standard

Specific responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Develop the required planning knowledge to support the planning team in periods of absence within the department.  This will include International and UK planning.
  • Obtaining and storing Proof of Deliveries for all shipments.
  • Booking in deliveries with customers to ensure needs are met
  • Booking shipments with parcel carriers
  • Maintaining the new customer focused track and trace platform to ensure accuracy
  • Develop knowledge to support the planning team in periods of absence within the department.
