Learning and Development Coordinator

Job Description:

The Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the design, implementation, and administration of training and development programs across the organization. This role is responsible for assisting in the creation of learning content, coordinating training logistics, managing learning management system (LMS) functions, and supporting employees’ professional growth.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about learning and development. They should have an interest in instructional design, adult learning theories, and corporate training best practices. This role provides a pathway to becoming an Instructional Designer within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Training Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate training schedules, track attendance, and ensure all logistics are handled efficiently.

  • Manage and maintain training records, reports, and LMS data.

  • Ensure correct enrollments in LMS and complete reports

Content Development & Instructional Support

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to refine and update training content.

  • Support the creation and curation of instructional materials, including eLearning modules, presentations, and job aids.

  • Assist in developing scalable learning solutions and blended learning experiences.

  • Manage company branding for consistency across the organization.

  • Leverage video editing software to update and maintain course content.

Facilitation & Employee Engagement

  • Gather feedback and assess training effectiveness to continuously improve programs.

Learning Needs Analysis & Development Planning

  • Conduct learning needs assessments to identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions.

Certification & Growth Path

  • Develop expertise in L&D best practices, working toward a CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning & Performance) or SHRM L&D certification.

  • Gain foundational knowledge in instructional design, learning experience design (LXD), and performance consulting.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organization and project management skills.

  • Experience with video editing preferred.

  • Interest in instructional design and facilitation techniques.

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools is a plus.

  • Ability to engage with employees at all levels and foster a culture of continuous learning.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and employee development.

  • Familiarity with AI tools (copilot).

  • Experience in supporting call centers and corporate teams is strongly preferred.

  • Superior knowledge of MS Office, learning platforms (Workday experience a plus), and comfortable learning new technology systems as needed.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills and critical-thinking ability.

  • Proactive worker detail/results-oriented.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Effective communicator with employees at all levels.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or Related Field.

  • 1-3 years of experience working as a People Partner, HR Generalist, or similar role.

Work Environment:

Employee works in an office setting (Corporate office located in Orem, UT) with potential of working a hybrid schedule (as arranged with leadership)
