Job Overview

Join ING as a Lead Test Engineer (End-to-End) and be part of the Pega COE Area, where you will play a key role in owning and executing the full testing cycle—from reviewing requirements and writing test cases to running tests across environments and supporting defect resolution. You will work closely with Agile teams to ensure delivery of high-quality document management or digital signature solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the overall testing strategy and quality goals across projects.
  • Mentor and guide test engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with business objectives.
  • Own and manage the entire testing lifecycle including functional and integration testing
  • Collaborate with PEGA engineers and Product Owner / Customer Journey Experts (CJE) to review requirements and create test cases
  • Execute manual and automated test cases across multiple environments
  • Identify, track, and manage defects to resolution
  • Leverage test automation tools and frameworks to improve efficiency
  • Foster a proactive mindset and effective collaboration within Agile teams
  • Support continuous improvement in testing practices and processes
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

Key Capabilities/Experience

  • Leadership & Strategy : Establish and lead the overarching testing strategy and quality objectives across multiple projects. Provide mentorship and guidance to test engineers, cultivating a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence in quality assurance.
  • Testing Expertise: Strong experience in functional and integration testing
  • Test Automation: Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks
  • Agile Experience: Comfortable working in Agile software development teams
  • Proactiveness: Demonstrates initiative and ownership in driving quality outcomes
  • Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills across stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with business objectives.
  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in document management or digital signature solutions is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of work experience on the related role with at least 2 yrs in leadership role.
  • Testing Tools: Selenium, Postman or other similar frameworks.
  • Agile Practices: Understanding of Agile principles and testing methodologies
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate test results and quality concerns effectively
  • Familiarity to PEGA systems is a plus
