Role: Associate Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Associate Quality Assurance Analyst role to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automation testing, with expertise in Selenium Webdriver with Java. The role involves ensuring high-quality software delivery through meticulous test planning, test case design, and automation. As an Associate Quality Assurance Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the development team to identify testing needs and improve testing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manual Testing Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Manual and Automation testing.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Proficient in creating, executing, and managing test cases and test scenarios.
- Proficient in managing defect life cycle.
- Automation Testing Skills
- 2+ years of strong hands-on experience in UI automation testing using Playwright with TypeScript.
- Developed and maintained UI automation test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript for end-to-end testing of web applications.
- Knowledge to integrate Playwright automation tests with CI/CD pipelines to enable automated test execution in build deployments.
- Tools and Technologies
- Experience with project and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).
- Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plus.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Attention to detail with the ability to identify edge cases and potential issues proactively.
Essential experience
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet all the criteria listed below
- Web application or Dealer application testing experience knowledge.
- Hands-on experience testing through the development cycle and pre-release in an Agile framework
- Experience conducting root-cause analysis.
- Experience in bug / defect log maintenance
- Testing process knowledge and ability to communicate with the development teams to provide constructive feedback and improvement tips.
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases.
- Solid knowledge on tools like Jira, Zephyr & Confluence
- Cross browser and multi device testing experience
- Experience and understanding of XML and other web technology standards
- Hands-on experience in UI automation testing using Playwright with TypeScript.
Ideal candidate
- Someone with a keen eye for detail, a penchant for quality and a passion for process.
- Strong advocate for the value position of Quality Assurance and thorough testing.
- Graduate / post-graduate in computer science / technology or equivalent degree/experience
- Having excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal in English
- A minimum of 2+ years of application testing experience on Ecommerce / Web application platforms.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience on automation using Playwright with Typescript.
- Ability to work individually or within a team environment
- Willing to work in UK / US shift on need basis
- Ability to participate in multiple projects / tasks and priorities in a healthy work environment
- Uses a constructive approach when providing feedback
- Ability to take direction, constructive criticism and work to specified deadlines.
- Adhere to process and procedures defined for the role, the team and the organization.
- Certified on one or more of the core process areas of work.
Reporting structure
- Locally reporting to QA team lead and IT manager in India
- Matrix reporting to WTL in US
