As a Lead Technical Consultant 1, you’ll provide technical sales support to ensure successful customer integration and implementation of Wireline, Wireless, and IT products and services. You’ll be available to sales teams and leadership to assist with all day-to-day functions and support. You must possess knowledge of our product portfolio, system functions, methods and procedures (M&Ps), and knowledge systems to successfully manage and maintain requests that enable our sales teams to succeed.

In this role, you will conduct weekly training, provide system support, perform network troubleshooting, and remove non-sales activities from sellers to help them focus on growing the business, following up with sales and customers, and managing escalations. You must have extensive knowledge of system functions, workarounds, and the tenacity to overcome all challenges encountered when completing tasks.

What you’ll do:

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

  • Deliver Technical Sales Support: Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to provide technical guidance, consult on customer solutions, and ensure successful integration and implementation of Wireline, Wireless, and IT products and services.

  • Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Investigate and resolve sales and technical challenges, validate facilities, and escalate concerns to ensure timely resolution and remove roadblocks to sales growth.

  • Consult & Educate Clients: Participate in joint calls with client teams, provide product demonstrations, answer inquiries, and deliver software/application consultation to prospective and current users.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with IT, field service, and other business units to coordinate order placement, installation, and ongoing support.

  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Maintain deep product knowledge, participate in weekly training, and contribute to process enhancements that empower sales teams and improve customer experience.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong Technical Acumen: In-depth understanding of Wireline, Wireless, and IT products and services, including system functions and workarounds.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly analyze technical issues and implement effective solutions with tenacity and resourcefulness.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Customer-Focused Mindset: Commitment to supporting customers and internal teams, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Industry Experience: 3–5 years of experience in engineering and/or sales roles, preferably within technology or telecommunications.

  • Proven Expertise: Demonstrated ability to consult on and support complex technical sales, including troubleshooting, product demonstrations, and solution delivery.

  • Technical Leadership: Experience guiding others through technical challenges, supporting escalations, and ensuring successful system integrations.

  • Self-Motivation: A proactive approach to learning, problem-solving, and supporting both customers and colleagues.

Our Lead Technical Consultant 1, earn between $130,700 - $196,100. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
