Job Description

Location: Sunnyvale, CA.

Work schedule:

Monday thru Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm with weekend and overtime as needed.

A Day in the Life:

  • Responsible for assembling and testing complex ion chromatography products using specialized instruments to meet customer demand while also guiding your team during training sessions.
  • Record production activities, accurately report test results, and maintain proper documentation.
  • Inspect products for defects and complete work orders according to approved procedures and quality policies.
  • Operate and maintain manufacturing machinery, troubleshoot basic issues, and follow safety requirements.
  • Participate in safety improvement activities to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Analyze data, derive conclusions, prepare comprehensive reports, and propose countermeasures for improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on continuous improvement initiatives, maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, perform daily ERP transactions, and work towards achieving department targets.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Required: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Knowledge of Good Laboratory and Manufacturing Practices

PC literacy and experience with spreadsheets and database software

Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to follow SOPs and verbal instructions

Familiarity with commonly used hand tools

Ability to work independently to meet targets

Eagerness to acquire new knowledge and skills

Understanding of production schedules and task prioritization.

Knowledge of Chromatography software and ERP Systems is preferred

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

Sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle and feel

Visual abilities to detect small components and particles

Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles

Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels

PPE requirements: lab coat, safety glasses, gloves, face shields, and safety shoes (all company-provided)

The use of masks in areas of exposure to solvent fumes and dust is required

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $29.43–$35.00.
