The Opportunity

Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Global Manufacturing Product Engineer (MPE) to manage and optimize our magnetic calibration processes for measurement systems and instruments worldwide. In this critical role, you will be the process owner for calibration unit generation and ATE magnetic field calibration, driving innovation by designing and implementing automated calibration systems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our measurement capabilities, directly contributing to the quality and performance of Allegro's leading-edge semiconductor products.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and implement magnetic field calibration procedures for both bench instruments and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) measurement systems globally.

  • Serve as the process owner for calibration unit generation and ATE magnetic field calibration, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and efficiency are consistently met.

  • Conceptualize and execute the automation of bench test processes, ensuring seamless compatibility with advanced data analytic tools.

  • Lead Manufacturing Review Board (MRB) activities for non-conformances specifically involving magnetic field calibration, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Identify, evaluate, and implement continuous improvements based on best-known methods and lessons learned from global operations.

  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry standards and specifications related to magnetic calibration.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments, including other engineers, technicians, supervisors, and operators, as well as external design teams and customers.

What You Will Need

  • Higher Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent semiconductor industry experience.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) repair and product/equipment characterization, utilizing basic statistical methods and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of advanced statistical techniques for machine assessments such as Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

  • Proven ability to design, develop, and implement magnetic field calibration procedures and automated systems.

  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and specifications.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to monitor and analyze the progress and status of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Ability to plan, organize, lead, and control technical and cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Mature, stable, and flexible demeanor, with the ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment.

  • Self-motivated, dependable, hardworking, and honest, with the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
