The role sits within Nike Japan’s Financial Planning team, recognized for its collaborative culture and strategic influence across the business. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning, this role partners closely with Planning & Commercial stakeholders in Japan and Asia Pacific (APAC) HQ, while also supporting cross-functional teams to drive impactful decision-making and delivery of the annual P&L targets.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Economics.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and financial tools (e.g., SAP).
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and critical analysis skills.
  • English proficiency required; Japanese proficiency is valued but not mandatory.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You’ll lead commercial channel financial management for Nike Japan, partnering closely with Planning & Commercial teams across Japan and APAC HQ. You’ll own forecasting, reporting, and analysis, while supporting strategic initiatives and working directly with senior leadership to drive business impact. You’ll also manage core finance operations, including forecast loading and system-based reporting for the commercial channel.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead commercial channel budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for Nike Japan, partnering with Planning and commercial teams to align financial plans with strategic priorities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for APAC Finance on commercial channel matters.
  • Own financial reporting processes, including official forecast submissions via Nike's financial systems.
  • Support financial analysis for inventory management proposals and investment cases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver insights that inform decision-making.
  • Partner directly with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director and Japan Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on ad-hoc analysis and strategic projects.
  • Build relationships across teams and functions to strengthen financial planning and business alignment.
