The Lead Engineer in Mechanical Service Engineering plays a pivotal role in driving the design, improvement, and lifecycle performance of our mechanical products. You will apply strong engineering fundamentals to evaluate components, develop manufacturable solutions, and enhance existing designs to meet evolving operational and customer needs. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will help ensure our products remain reliable, serviceable, and aligned with the highest engineering and industry standards.
As a Lead Engineer, Mechanical, Service Engineering, you will be responsible for:
Executing mechanical design, analysis, and evaluation activities using sound engineering principles while adhering to business standards, procedures, and product requirements.
Creating detailed, fabrication, and assembly drawings compliant with ASME Y14.5 standards and internal formatting expectations.
Developing manufacturable mechanical designs and preparing technical material for design, materials, and environmental reviews.
Modifying and generating 3D models and drawings aligned with manufacturing standards, Pro‑NC protocols, and parametric modeling practices.
Preparing general engineering drawings using relevant CAD and documentation software.
Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the documentation system for engineering approval.
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and business leadership to define needs, shape project approaches, and present engineering outcomes.
Leading or contributing to analytical and design activities, delivering solutions using proven technologies and established engineering methods.
To be successful in this role you will:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent experience), with mechanical component engineering experience.
Demonstrate mastery of core mechanical engineering principles and a solid foundation in relevant technologies and manufacturing practices.
Bring proven experience creating detailed mechanical drawings, 3D models, and documentation aligned with industry and ASME Y14.5 standards.
Communicate clearly and confidently, with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills that support collaboration across teams and leadership levels.
Show the ability to lead small teams, influence stakeholders, and drive initiatives of moderate scope to completion.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving capabilities.
Apply sound judgment to identify issues, develop solutions, and improve existing products, components, and processes.
Thrive in cross‑functional environments, contributing both independently and as part of a team to deliver high‑quality engineering outcomes.
