To serve as a liaison between Portfolio Management/ TA Operations Large Transactions Unit, client servicing crew, and processing areas to facilitate the communication of Large and Qualified transactions.
Responsibilities:
Acts as a liaison between Portfolio Management/ TA Operations Large Transaction Unit, TA Ops crew, and our other internal partners in the communication of Large and Qualified transactions.
Reviews and reconciles prior day activity to Vanguard's record keeping systems (i.e., VAST/WAVE, etc.). Initiates and elevates steps to mitigate risk to the funds where needed. Analyzes reconciliation trends and collaborates with internal partners and relationship management teams to implement solutions.
Proactively resolves daily trading issues, analyzes data and evaluates trends for large and qualified trades. Performs customized services for TA Ops Specialty Clients, including “portal monitoring” responsibilities, as needed. Evaluates the risk posed by client trades and partners with Portfolio Management to mitigate fund impact and complete trade requests.
Initiates, enforces and manages the application of the Trading Impact Policy. Uses communication skills and expertise to engage internal and external clients in minimizing impact to funds while meeting the needs of our clients.
Obtains and applies knowledge of the business models, trading platforms, and industry standards applicable to FAS MFA CAS's client service segments. Maintains a functional knowledge of investment objectives and trading characteristics of Vanguard portfolios in order to assist with job duties.
Communicates complex issues in a clear, articulate, and concise manner, taking audience into consideration.
Designs, maintains, and distributes periodic reports (i.e. dashboards, event summaries, etc.) and conducts analysis as needed.
Actively identifies, recommends, and implements process improvement opportunities. Supports Vanguard's Unmatchable Excellence (VUE) efforts.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Two years of general experience and one year of related work experience.
Excellent analytical, organizational and problem resolution skills.
Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with a high degree of independence in a fast-paced, multitask environment.
Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to communicate with internal and external clients on sensitive and or complex issues.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
Proficient in Excel and Access.
Working knowledge of VAST/ WAVE and AWD preferred.
