In this role, you will...
Oversee the full process of property disposition, voluntary acquisition, real estate closings, leasing, and special projects, including complex or high-value real estate transactions.
Work closely with the County Attorney’s Office to gather legal information, prepare documents, maintain records, and ensure accurate transaction documentation.
Lead fair, effective negotiations with property owners, businesses, tenants, and their representatives.
Prepare written reports and deliver presentations that explain and justify proposed property transactions.
Supervise and support staff with contract negotiations, policy development, workload direction, and day-to-day operational guidance.
Manage staff performance through hiring support, training, coaching, performance reviews, and addressing employee relations matters.
Coordinate and review detailed title research, including chain of title, tax roll properties, TIIF parcels, submerged lands, gap/hiatus areas, and other assigned properties.
Assist with preparing the annual Property Management budget and processing vendor work requests.
Support higher-level management and division operations as needed, including training, County Expo participation, committee work, and stepping in during manager absences.
Work Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. (no weekends!)

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university in Real Estate, Real Estate Law, Appraising, Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Engineering, or a job-related field.
OR: 2-year Associate's degree with 2+ years of job-related experience in the Real Estate Industry.
OR: High School diploma and 4+ years of professional Real Estate Industry or Property Management job-related experience can be substituted (at management discretion) for the required education.
Valid Florida driver's license by date of hire.
The ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

Proficiency with computers and word processing software.
Ability to negotiate complex land acquisition agreements effectively.
Knowledge of reviewing title searches, appraisal reports, and leases accurately.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five years.
Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
Starting Pay Range: $57,179.20 - $64,000.00, based on experience.
