Pay: $27-$28/hour

Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 am- 5:30 pm.
The Laboratory Technician will work in an exciting, fast-paced and dynamic environment and be part of an enthusiastic team passionate about providing quality data and materials to our customers in a timely manner. This individual will be responsible for incoming customer sample flow, sample login, material inventory, and preparing vessels for both internal and external customers. The chosen candidate must like a fast paced environment, working on routine tasks, and can handle various chemicals in a safe manner.
The selected candidate will be part of the Chemical Lab at our Fremont, CA lab in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, home of Silicon Valley.
Responsibilities
Follow established SOPs
Sample login, tracking, and returns using a LIMS system
Sample transfers between different laboratories
Sample bottle, tube, vessel preparation and inventory management
Sample bottle kit preparation for clients
Sample preparation for elemental analysis
Routine analysis using various methods
Enter test results into LIMS in a timely and accurate manner
Acidic waste neutralization
Sample waste consolidation and disposal
Responsible for the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results
Responsible for compliance with 5S
Meets and exceeds all company safety procedures and standards
Required Qualifications
HS Diploma with 1-2 years industrial laboratory experience OR Associate Degree in Chemistry or Similar Science with 0 years experience
Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture and a safe working environment in the laboratory.
Good organization skills
Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills
Ability to operate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment
Ability to work under time pressure
Must have initiative and be self-motivated
Ability to change plans on short notice and work with a flexible schedule
Must be able to lift heavy loads
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of industrial laboratory experience
Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
