RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts timely and accurate analysis of raw materials, in-process, and final product samples to ensure compliance with internal specifications and customer requirements as outlined in work instructions.
- Calibrates laboratory equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability and ensures routine care.
- Prepares, standardizes, and labels chemical reagents according to laboratory protocols.
- Maintains inventory of laboratory chemicals and supplies.
- Receives and verifies deliveries of laboratory chemicals.
- Communicates with production personnel to coordinate dilution, blending, stabilization, and transfer of products in the Tank Farm, including bulk delivery preparations.
- Issues product samples and Certificates of Analysis for customer deliveries.
- Upholds laboratory housekeeping and safety standards.
- Manages retention of product samples for quality tracking.
- Records and organizes laboratory data for traceability and reporting.
- Investigates and supports resolution of product-related customer complaints.
- Collaborates with the Senior Laboratory Technician to achieve laboratory performance objectives.
- Ensures compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Responsible Care and Evonik ESHQ standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- BTech, or BSc degree in Analytical Chemistry.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a production laboratory environment.
- Proficiency with analytical instruments including Gas Chromatograph, Total Carbon Analyzer, Coulometer, UV Spectrophotometer, Density Meter, and standard lab equipment.
- Experience operating a pilot plant is advantageous.
- Competency in MS Office and laboratory data systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001/14001 and Responsible Care principles.
- Strong understanding of chemical safety and Good Laboratory Practice.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Solid mathematical and reporting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Dependable with strong work ethics.
