Kitchen Supervisor


 

A Kitchen Supervisor 1 provides direct supervision to approximately 10% of the kitchen employees and oversees production and serving of meals in a timely manner. The Supervisor ensures customer satisfaction, safety and sanitation, and timely reporting.


 

Supervise Production
Supervise staff and students in the production of food items for serving meals. Act as support and back-up for various kitchen supervisors.

Ensure Customer Satisfaction
Meet customer service excellence standards by ensuring that meals are served as fresh as possible with the best possible presentation. Exceed expectations for applicable temperatures and quality. Work with employees to develop an attitude of customer service when dealing with customers.

Ensure Safety and Sanitation
Ensure that all food preparation is done in a way that meets or exceeds industry standards for safety and sanitation. Provide a clean environment for both employees and customers. Ensure that employees use safe practices at all times.

Maintain Reporting and Feedback
Provide information for continuing improvement for our customers, including using all applicable forms to report food usage, maintenance needs, recipe improvements, and employee problems.

Education

Required Education:

HS Preferred Education: BA - Hospitality, BS - Management


 

Work Experience

Required Experience:

1+ years in a commercial kitchen, 1+ years in management Preferred Experience: 1+ years in high-volume kitchen management


 

Physical Requirements and Skills

Ability to lift 20+ pounds, Basic Math, Bend body and knees as needed, Capable of standing and walking for long periods of time, CBORD Software, Microsoft Office
