In the competitive and fast-paced world of retail, Junior Retail Merchandisers play a vital role in enhancing customer experience and driving sales through powerful, strategic, and visually compelling product displays. Visual Merchandisers are responsible for making sure that each product, from TV’s to Washing Machines, is presented in a way that aligns with the brand’s identity.

Retail Merchandisers create and implement visual displays that highlight product features, enhance storytelling, and increase customer engagement through promotional assets. The role involves planogram execution, display planning, cross-functional collaboration, and adapting global guidelines to fit local needs.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

This role focuses on the execution, coordination and administrative support necessary to ensure outstanding in-store visual presentation, ultimately driving sales.

  • Display Execution & Maintenance:

  • Implementing and executing visual displays, planograms, and promotional assets as per global and local guidelines.

  • Creating attractive and effective product displays and ensuring the layout and presentation of products are effectively optimized. 

  • Responsible for supporting all in-store messaging, content, and promotions. 

  • Maintaining records, including display images, to ensure consistency in store execution. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging and presentation.

  • Operational Support & Coordination:

  • Supporting the Visual Merchandising Manager in designing store layouts and strategies for visual campaigns, particularly with TV, AV, and DA divisions. 

  • Working collaboratively with other departments and analysing provided sales data to ensure products are displayed to best advantage. 

  • Assisting in the planning and review of weekly, monthly, and quarterly budgets for print and digital content. 

  • Supporting the coordination and alignment of activity with stakeholders across SEUK and Europe. 

  • Agency & Retailer Liaison:

  • Assisting in the day-to-day coordination with Print, Implementation, and Content Agencies. 

  • Supporting the promotion of Samsung to Retail Customers and liaising with retailers to help deliver Samsung objectives. 

  • Keeping up-to-date on the latest trends in the industry. 

  • Travel to retail locations to support execution and ensure brand standards are met.

What we need for this role

The successful candidate will possess a strong foundational understanding of visual merchandising and a keen willingness to learn and execute.

  • Skills and Attributes:

  • Practical hands-on experience in executing displays and messaging, combined with a good eye for design. 

  • Foundational knowledge of visual display techniques, customer journey theory, retail customer flow strategies, and retail psychology. 

  • An individual who can balance creative vision with commercial awareness and practical execution. 

  • Good written and numerical skills, excellent communication skills, and adaptability. 

  • Ability to deliver multiple projects under tight deadlines. 

  • Exposure to or understanding of the shopper journey.

  • Consistent delivery against key responsibilities, ensuring visual standards are met. 

  • Effective support of the Visual Merchandising Manager, leading to improved consumer experience and driving cost efficiency. 

  • Building productive working relationships with internal partners and external agencies
