Junior Supply Chain Planner

We are pleased to share the role of Junior Supply Chain Planner @ Vax. The role fits into the small but mighty S&OP team who manage all elements of inventory and stock. We are looking for a motivated individual that has great attention to detail and who is looking to for a career within Supply Chain. A background using a variety of systems and databases will be advantageous in this role.

What does the Sales & Planning (S&OP) team do?

The team manage the sales forecast and all elements of inventory and stock planning to ensure the highest possible level of accuracy, efficiency, and availability. An effective S&OP process aligns both demand and supply elements with the financial planning and allows for strategic decision making within the monthly business unit reviews.

The role will support the total S&OP team and has a variety of administrative and coordination tasks to enable high customer service to external and internal customers, as well as on time in full deliveries.

Day to Day Role

The role covers a number of areas including –

• Supply Chain Reporting - Data Analysis & implementation of reporting suite for demand planning.
• Review forecast accuracy and where the highest level of risk / variance is and makes recommendations
• Understand and review product lifecycles for finished goods and spares
• Forecasting Tool Data Ownership and Reporting - Extract data from our forecasting tool to review accuracy
• Create bespoke reports
• Stock Allocation / Demand Management - Manage the item reserves and with the demand planner on remit to release orders
• Manage stock availability for direct dispatch customers
• Assist the business with spares and MEA order processing

• Ability to manage data and spot errors and look for trends.

• Good stakeholder engagement
• React quickly and accurately to business change
• Analytical mindset
• Strong communicator with high professionalism.
• S&OP/Supply Chain Experience (desired, not essential)
