Our Why, What and How

We are a proudly purpose-led ASX-listed fintech on a mission to power peoples’ progress and make a real difference in the world, starting right here in Australia. By building products and experiences designed to have a positive impact on the financial health and lives of our customers, we are inching ever-closer to achieving our purpose.

We offer smarter, fairer loans that help people kick their goals sooner, a nifty round up tool to help people get out of debt and save even faster, and a dashboard that helps people track and improve their credit scores.

The better we do this, the more positive change and impact we can have on our customers. Now is the time to join one of Australia’s fastest growing fintechs and make an impact.

We are a people first business and value flexibility as part of our work - our team work in a hybrid working environment, 3 days per week in our beautiful office space.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Product Manager to join an established squad responsible for our internal lending platform. You'll play a meaningful role connecting day-to-day execution to product outcomes. You will have the opportunity to grow your product craft at Wisr, working closely with cross-functional teams across the wider business including Operations, Finance, Technology and Risk while developing a deep understanding of our lending products.

What you'll do

  • Setting squads goals, success metrics, and roadmap to align with company goals.
  • Identify market gaps, opportunities, and actionable product initiatives that drive mass adoption in core and expansion markets.
  • Tracking and analysing competitive position and product performance.
  • Driving maximum impact based on data analysis, market research, and company strategy.
  • Bring stakeholders along the journey, such as Operations, Growth, Marketing and Legal and Strategy teams.
  • Support the product development lifecycle from ideation through to launch and iteration, ensuring work stays aligned to business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and designers within your squad, helping to maintain clarity of purpose and shared priorities.
  • Translate defined opportunities into clear product requirements, including customer journeys, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor key product metrics and surface insights that inform delivery decisions and backlog prioritisation.
  • Run squad rituals including release planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives with growing confidence and autonomy.
  • Coordinate UAT and end-to-end testing, ensuring defects are resolved before each release.
  • Keep the customer at the centre of product decisions by synthesising research, data and insights into clear recommendations.
  • Develop curiosity around AI and automation opportunities, identifying where they can reduce manual touchpoints in the lending journey.
  • Bridging the domain and product knowledge gap among the development teams.
  • Write clear, well-structured user stories with defined acceptance criteria that give your squad the context needed to deliver with confidence.

What success looks like in your first 6 months

  • You've built solid working relationships across your squad and key stakeholders, and are a reliable, trusted presence in the team.
  • The squad has clear priorities, well-maintained rituals, and a shared understanding of how their work contributes to the product vision.
  • You've developed a working understanding of Wisr's tech stack and can factor constraints into product decisions.
  • You have a solid grasp of lending originations end-to-end, including where friction exists and opportunities to reduce it.
