Junior IT Support Specialist

Job Summary:
SHADOW is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role will be essential in supporting our employees, maintaining our IT infrastructure, and ensuring data security through reliable backups and routine system monitoring. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in troubleshooting, managing system performance, and providing exceptional support to users across various platforms and hold 1-2 year of experience within a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing User Support

  • Assist employees with technical issues via email, Zoom, or Google Meet.
  • Guide users through troubleshooting steps, including software installations, updates, and configurations.
  • Deliver clear and supportive guidance to ensure employees feel empowered with their IT tools.

2. Monitoring IT Systems

  • Regularly monitor servers, network devices, and systems for optimal performance and security.
  • Review system logs for errors or unusual activity, taking proactive steps to address issues.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to detect and address potential system issues before they impact business operations.

3. Routine Maintenance and Updates

  • Apply software updates, security patches, and system upgrades as needed to maintain optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine hardware maintenance and replace faulty components as required.
  • Ensure all systems are operating with the latest security protocols to safeguard against vulnerabilities.

4. Data Backup and Recovery

  • Ensure regular data backups are conducted and verify backup integrity.
  • Restore data as needed from backups, with minimal disruption to business activities.
  • Maintain detailed backup and disaster recovery documentation to support business continuity efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT support, systems monitoring, and data backup management.
  • Strong understanding of network, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with backup systems, disaster recovery protocols, and system monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a customer-service-oriented approach.

 

Annual Compensation

$46,000
