We are seeking a Junior Controller to support our team at Beynon Sports, an industry leader in the design, manufacture, and construction of world-class running tracks. Beynon partners with schools, universities, municipalities, and professional athletic organizations across the U.S. and internationally. With every project, our goal is the same: to deliver exceptional surfaces that inspire champions. The Junior Controller plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, a disciplined month‑end close, and reliable reporting for the Beynon division. This role supports the Finance Director by preparing high‑quality analysis, ensuring strong internal controls, and keeping operations stable, predictable, and free of surprises. It’s an ideal fit for someone who values structure, accuracy, and consistency in a fast‑paced, project‑based environment. The position is based out of the office located in Hunt Valley, MD.

What you’ll do:
Core Financial Operations & Month-End Close
Review bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by the Accountant
Perform and validate WIP and Deferred Revenue accounting
Financial Reporting, Forecasting & Analysis
Prepare Group Consolidation submissions (P&L, Balance Sheet, OCF)
Upload monthly forecast updates (Sales & EBIT) into consolidation tools
Support regional and group consolidation requirements
Internal Controls, Audit & Compliance
Support factoring audits and year‑end audit pack preparation
Implement and monitor follow‑up actions from internal audit recommendations
Ensure compliance with IFRS and corporate policies
Operational Finance Support & Issue Management
Resolve issues early and escalate with clear impact and proposed solutions
Support operational leaders with financial clarifications
Collaboration with Finance Director & Corporate Teams
Communicate variances, risks, and issues proactively
Support preparation of Management Business Reviews (MBRs)
Collaborate with FP&A, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Payroll, and other teams
What you need for success:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2–5 years of relevant accounting
Experience in construction, project‑based, or manufacturing finance
Strong understanding of accrual accounting, reconciliations, and IFRS
Solid Excel skills; experience with BI tools or ERP systems is an asset
High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
Ability to meet recurring deadlines with discipline and consistency
Strong communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with Magnitude, Power BI, Vena, or similar tools
Experience supporting internal or external audits
