Role Purpose
The Disability Support Worker role at CPA exists to provide high-quality, person-centered support to people with disabilities.
You will play a vital role in empowering clients to live as independently as possible, by helping them to achieve their goals and supporting their day-to-day wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.
About the Clients
At CPA, our SIL houses are typically home to between 4-6 clients.
Our clients can have a range of disabilities including Cerebral Palsy and other similar conditions, and range in age from early 20s through to elderly, and can have different level of medical needs and behaviours
Role Overview
This 20-hour per week, permanent part-time role is based out of one of CPA's SIL houses in Terrey Hills.
As a Disability Support Worker within a CPA SIL home, your role is focused on providing support to clients in a domestic setting (in the home).
You will make a meaningful difference through supporting clients with daily living needs such as cooking and mealtimes and helping with cleaning & general household tasks.
You will also provide personal care to clients in a respectful and dignified manner, administer medication, and support clients to move around the house through manual handling and the use of specialised equipment such as hoists.
You'll also be asked to document and monitor client wellbeing, and collaborate effectively with other CPA staff to maintain a supportive team environment.
