Primary Job Responsibilities
This position manages work across multiple complex accounting and finance and corporate systems and projects.
- Recruits, selects, coaches, and develops managers, team leaders, engineers, analysts, and support staff within the IT department. Manages professional growth and development plans.
- Works with senior leadership to develop team goals and aligning them with department objectives.
- Builds and maintains strong partnerships with IT leadership and various levels of business stakeholders.
- Develops and champions IT strategy for functional unit(s).
- Conducts performance and professional development reviews per HR guidelines. Takes corrective actions, including Performance Improvement Plans or terminations, when necessary.
- Achieves financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action within the functional unit.
- Maintains the organization's effectiveness and efficiency by developing and supporting strategic plans for implementing and maintaining information technologies.
- Leads problem management teams made up of senior engineering resources in solving high-complexity, high-impact enterprise issues
- Partner with stakeholders across multiple departments to prioritize initiatives and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships for third-party applications and services, including contract negotiations and performance monitoring.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Establishes key elements of tactical and operational plans with direct impact towards the achievement of results of the area. Focus is on short- to mid-term operational plans (e.g., 1- 2 years).
- Develops new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the area.
- May have budget accountability for area or manage elements of the budget.
Leadership & Talent Management:
- Manages a large team typically comprised of experienced professionals.
- Typically, has hiring, firing, promotion and reward authority within own area, in accordance with manager review and approval.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead product, project or program teams in one department/area. Has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the department.
- Strong technical background with experience in accounting, finance and corporate applications and the software development lifecycle.
- Requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 6-8 years prior relevant experience.
- Experience in a product-centric organization and delivery model preferred.

- Proven proficiency in leadership, HR management, strategic planning, vendor management, cybersecurity, communication, problem solving, budget management, compliance and risk management.
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance processes and related systems.
- Deep understanding of business practices and operations.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office / MS Office 365 tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint.
