Major Duties:

  • You will develop and implement a Project Management Plan to achieve the Government’s desired outcomes and objectives.
  • You will develop technical Information Technology (IT), Network and Signal plans, policies, procedures, and project oversight related to the management, integration and sustainment of enterprise services.
  • You will independently develop the necessary research and analysis of current and new emerging issues that impact command performance to determine strategies for the future to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • You will create, review, and update Base Orders and policies relating to telecom infrastructure installation.
  • You will perform planning, developing and implementing of project scheduling; funding systems; IT capital planning; investment evaluation; acquisition management and other knowledge management system tools.

Qualifications: I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: verifying hardware and software and equipment are in accordance with DOD policy and directives. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Maintaining customer hardware and resolving software problems in response to customer reported incidents. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Working with personnel to plan, coordinate and resolve issues by influencing people to work towards mutual goals and have basic cooperative attitudes. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Troubleshooting, diagnosing hardware/software interoperability problems by repairing and applying software patches. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Performing Project Management (PM) services for Military Construction (MilCon) projects and associated infrastructure improvements, engagements with vendors, development of master plans, development of policy and other formal documentation.
