Job Description:

About The Role

As an IT Audit Expert, you will support the Internal Audit team in delivering high-quality IT-related audit work across Ferrovial’s corporate and business units. Your role will focus on providing technical expertise, guidance, and hands-on collaboration in areas such as IT controls, cybersecurity, digitalisation, and compliance (including SOX).

You will work closely with audit teams and business stakeholders to help assess risks, improve processes, and ensure alignment with internal policies and international best practices. You will also contribute to the execution of IT audit engagements and promote continuous improvement through knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support audit engagements by contributing to the execution of IT-related audit procedures. You will actively participate in testing activities, share technical insights, and help ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Analyze audit observations through detailed testing and work closely with business and IT stakeholders to evaluate control impacts, propose improvements, and support the definition of remediation actions.
  • Collaborate in the assessment of ITGCs and ITACs for SOX compliance, including the design and execution of testing plans, review of documentation, and communication of results.
  • Identify and suggest efficiency improvements in IT audit processes and SOX-related activities.
  • Prepare audit reports and presentations to senior management and Audit Committee on the progress and results of the SOX compliance oversight.
  • Contribute to internal digitalization and methodology projects, suggesting and leading initiatives and providing internal training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Telecommunication with experience in external/internal audit or an Information System Department.
  • Experience in treatment and analysis of large volumes of data (e.g., Big Data). Experience in the use of data analysis tools such as PowerBi, IDEA, ACL, etc.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of technology (applications, infrastructure, networking, IT management controls).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, NIS2, ISO27001, NIS-D).
  • An understanding of SOX compliance requirements is an asset.
  • Understand business processes (e.g., Order to cash, procure to pay, financial reporting etc.) and audit and internal control testing techniques.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated work style and flexible with good prioritization skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, global team-oriented environment, managing various stakeholders with competing demand.
  • Professional qualifications such as CISA, CISM or equivalent are an asset.
  • Ability and willingness to travel – up to 20%.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
