Investment Analyst

Investment Services (ISG) is responsible for delivering investment consulting leadership and proprietary investment solutions that differentiate Manulife John Hancock’s retirement offerings, strengthen advisor and sponsor outcomes, and drive commercial growth.

The Investment Analyst provides day-to-day investment support to the Manulife John Hancock U.S. Retirement Sales and Relationship Management teams. The role involves preparing investment-related materials, supporting data-driven requests, and responding to routine investment inquiries, helping ensure sales and relationship teams have accurate, timely, and well-supported information for client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Investment related deliverables for US Retirement clients. These reports include, but are not limited to, Fund Decision Letters, Sales Mappings, Fund Comparisons, Investment Analytics, etc.
  • Respond to Sales/Relationship Management investment inquiries and provide data and strategic positioning/talking points regarding Manulife John Hancock and third-party investment strategies.
  • Proactively develop ways to enhance the system and/or the delivery on investment related information to the field.
  • Work to become an expert in Manulife John Hancock Investment Focus Funds.
  • Develop ability to explain complex investment and financial concepts in an easily digestible manner

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant investment industry experience; with a preference for the US Retirement market.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CFA candidate or interest in pursuing designation.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously. 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Overall good technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Preference for candidates with experience using Morningstar Direct, FI360, RPAG, etc.

Salary range is expected to be between

$62,850.00 CAD - $104,750.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
