What You’ll Be Doing

Inventory Management & Forecasting

  • Ensure maximum stock availability through timely and accurate weekly purchasing, aligned with inventory budgets.

  • Deliver weekly inventory forecasts, including month-end closing views on stock levels and associated costs.

  • Monitor sales performance against forecasts and take proactive action to maintain optimal stock profiles within budget constraints.

  • Maintain accurate vendor purchase price lists in SAP, ensuring precise inventory valuation.

Financial & Contract Compliance

  • Provide accurate weekly financial reconciliations (e.g., price changes, inventory depreciation).

  • Interpret and apply all stock-related clauses in vendor contracts.

  • Identify and address problem stock areas, implementing corrective and preventative actions to minimize cost and lost opportunities.

Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Develop and review quarterly business plans with Business Managers (BMs), initiating vendor support where necessary.

  • Collaborate closely with BMs and vendors to achieve agreed goals through proactive inventory management, while mitigating stock risk via extended negotiated terms and conditions.

  • Represent TD SYNNEX professionally in all vendor and stakeholder interactions.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Supervise and develop IPP Coordinators, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Consistently achieve set targets and objectives.

  • Review and update policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.

  • Lead and manage ad hoc projects assigned by IPP Management, ensuring timely completion and escalation when required.

What you will bring

Essential:

  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Proven negotiation skills and commercial acumen.

  • Demonstrated experience in inventory forecasting and business planning.

  • Proactive, initiative-taking, and results driven.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and maintain focus under pressure.

  • High diligence and commitment to accuracy.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel) and inventory replenishment systems (SAP R3 preferred).

  • Solid understanding of purchasing and inventory principles and practices.

Desirable:

  • CIPS qualification or equivalent professional certification.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic trading environment.
