Inventory Manager (Dayworker)

Our Fulfillment Centre (FC) Operations team supports four core departments – Inventory, Outbound, Inbound and Marketplace – operating around the clock to ensure our customers receive their products in great condition and quickly. Our FC is equipped with active pick towers and our Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS – amazing automated warehousing technology).
About the Role..
As the Inventory Manager you will lead our inventory operations within the Fulfilment Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate management of all stock, leading a team of inventory employees, and working closely with Safety, Planning and FC Operations teams to support business goals.
What’s involved…
- Safety: Implement and uphold safety standards to ensure a secure workplace for all team members and Pprovide a safe working environment and promote compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Service & Operations: Oversee and manage all aspects of stock movement, ensuring efficient, timely and accurate handling of inventory and evaluate deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
- Cost Management & Inventory Health: Monitor demand and analyse data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs, as well as develop strategies to optimise inventory levels and reduce operational and holding costs.
- Inventory Accuracy & KPIs: Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations and process controls along with tracking and reducing error rates in inventory processes, implementing quality control measures.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage and develop a team of inventory employees, ensuring effective performance and productivity.
About you…
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory management and a comprehensive understanding of all site systems.
- Proven leadership and people-management skills, with experience guiding teams to achieve operational goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and logistics skills, with the ability to coordinate complex tasks and manage resources efficiently.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in data analysis, using insights to drive decision-making and process optimisation.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, anticipating challenges and identifying opportunities to enhance performance
Ways to stand out from the crowd..
- Experience in a Fulfilment Centre / Warehouse / Logistics environment.
- Previous responsibility for inventory KPIs such as shrinkage, stock accuracy, cycle count performance and storage utilisation.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
