Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Inventory Control Supervisor located in Orangeburg SC.

Reporting to the Director of Operations the Inventory Control Supervisor will work on daily inventory activities including cycle counting, data collection, implementing and reviewing processes to maintain inventory security and integrity of the warehouse. Supervises and coordinates receiving, storing, inventory, holding and shipping product.

Shift: 6:00a-2:30p Monday-Friday

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Reviews and monitors the timely confirmation and accuracy of inbound inventory, outbound shipments, and book adjustment transactions to ensure accurate inventory management records. 
  • Coordinates and performs the taking of physical inventories in accordance with the manufacturers’ requirements, investigates inventory variances; directs the performance of daily/weekly cycle accounts and adjusts inventory records if necessary. 
  • Coordinates delivery/pick up of materials from supply room, if exists.
  • Coordinates the activities associated with product recalls upon request.
  • Monitors the activities associated with customer return shipments including overages, shortages and damages; communications concealed damage to manufacturers.
  • Coordinates damaged and defective products, ensuring they are accounted for and properly handled by dumping, reconditioning, or returning to producing plant.
  • Supervises all inventory control personnel, if any, to achieve objectives relating to inventory control management, provides communication and suggests inventory improvements to supervisors.
  • Provides back up to purchasing agent, if necessary.
  • Keys receipts of materials, if necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Effectively communicate with associates and customers in person and via telephone, verbally and non-verbally to accomplish necessary objectives
  • Effectively review performance of subordinates, if any, to ensure compliance to requirements.
  • Must be able to shift priorities easily.

Here is some of what you’ll need:

  • 5+ year of Materials Inventory Control & Materials Planning experience or experience using Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) systems or related field.
  • 5 years of Supervisory / Team Management
  • Experience Microsoft Office Proficiency in Excel (Data analysis) and Power Point presentation
  • 2+ year of experience using any Warehouse Management system Software. (Atlas & Baan)
  • Experience on analyzing data and provide guidance to management for effective decision making.
  • License to operate Forklifts (Cherry Picker Lift, (preferred)
  • Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) certificate is (preferred)
