POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory & Procurement Manager manages and implements data systems & processes to control, monitor and maintain Winter Park Resorts physical assess including but not limited to lift systems, vehicles, grooming fleet, various equipment, and building structures. This position leads the warehouse team through data driven purchasing decision making that supports the maintenance operations requirements of Winter Park Resort.  The Inventory & Procurement Manager develops methodologies for tracking asset lifecycles, annual asset maintenance and consumption of resources including tracking parts use and utility consumption by resort facilities and equipment.  This position oversees the physical warehouse space and inventory of critical mountain operations parts including overseeing regular cycle counting. The Inventory & Procurement Manager ensures effective roll out of inventory systems to additional departments expanding the scope of the system to take on new resort functions. Directs the activities of the warehouse staff to properly stock and maintain these spaces.  Complies with the Privacy Policy, Standards of Business practices, company safety policies and OSHA standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

General Responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse and procurement team including verification and execution of cycle counts, purchasing of inventoried products, and conducting all required receiving duties.
  • Develops and implements computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) including working with various business units on inventory plans
  • Interfaces with departments utilizing CMMS ensuring proper planning of maintenance schedules, and using feedback to continuously improve the system.
  • Developing robust forecasts of parts usage based on seasonality of maintenance and scheduling.
  • Cross training of staff to allow for competency in Warehouse, Purchasing and Asset Management System Operations.
  • Effectively manages Enterprise Asset Management system roll out to new internal clients.
  • Performs cost/benefit analysis; locates, selects, and maintains lists of potential sources of supply; evaluates competitive offerings.
  • Uses a holistic perspective of resort assets through the use of CMMS to make recommendations for asset replacement and replenishment of critical spare parts
  • Analyzes physical warehouse spaces and makes improvements for efficiencies based on parts usage, lead times etc.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with  internal departments and suppliers.
  • Consults with departments regarding purchases and recommends alternate sources or products when in the best interest of the department. Provides information regarding products, pricing, availability and contract prices.
  • Develops and implements inventory management system training for other WPR employees as needed.
  • Leadership skills, conflict-resolution, strategic thinking, strong business ethic and acumen, productivity under pressure, negotiation skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization and the public. A strong knowledge of asset management systems and related computer systems, purchasing and inventory management operations  are critical competencies for this position.

PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Excel, D365, Dynaway Asset Management Software, Word, and EAM related software.
  • Demonstrating skills and knowledge in complex system configuration (asset management, maintenance plans, inventory)
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License with clean Motor Vehicle Record to comply with WPR Driver’s Standards Policy.

EDUCATION PREFERENCES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or three year’s related experience.
  • Two years or more EAM system development and implementation/purchasing experience.

WAGE:

The salary pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Salary pay range: $60,000 - $70,000

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Able to perform normal business office activities. Must be able to perform the following:            
  • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs., push and pull up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and balance.
