The Golf Course Maintenance Operations Internship Program at TPC River Highlands provides a unique learning experience found only at a TPC Network property.
Through hands-on agronomic experience and exposure to high-level course conditioning, interns will work closely with our leadership team on agronomic planning, asset preservation, operational excellence, and preparation for the PGA Tour’s The Travelers Championship. Interns also have the opportunity to connect with leading agronomy professionals and build valuable long-term industry relationships. Our vision is to ensure each intern leaves feeling empowered, knowledgeable, and confident in taking the next step in their turfgrass career.

The Internship Experience 

Interns will be introduced to core agronomic and operational elements of golf course maintenance, including personnel management, equipment operation, fertilizer and plant protectant applications, irrigation, facility organization, environmental stewardship, career development, and networking.

Examples of Internship Activities:

  • Participate in daily golf course maintenance practices
  • Attend agronomy planning meetings
  • Preparation for the PGA Tour’s The Travelers Championship
  • Experience diversified learning opportunities across the operation, such as:
    • Golf Operations
    • Equipment Management
    • Irrigation Management
    • Landscape Management
    • PGA TOUR Agronomy

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate degree, or certificate program in turfgrass or related field. 
  • Career minded and highly motivated.
  • Team player and positive attitude 
  • Have appropriate authorization to work in the United States 
  • Possess the minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) required by their college or university. 
  • International students must be currently enrolled in a US college or university and possess all visas and employment authorizations required prior to the start of the internship.

Pay

  • Competitive wage based on experience, starting at $19.00/hour
