Thanks to our blood gas analysis technology, healthcare professionals around the world are able to make decisions for patients in critical situations - in the emergency room, in the intensive care unit and in the operating room. Help create the future of blood gas analysis! You will be part of the system optic and fluidic integration team and contribute to the design and improvement of the new instruments.

This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland on site.

The Opportunity

  • Develop and optimize optical metrology methods to verify and improve the design of our analyzer

  • Plan and execute experiments and tests of analytical instruments, software, consumables and the interactions between them

  • Develop and test the performance of prototype blood analyzers in Bio-Safety Level 2 laboratories

  • Document your findings in compliance with In-Vitro Diagnostics Regulation

Who You are

  • You have completed or are currently enrolled in an MSc degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, physics or a related field

  • You gathered experience in an optics or electronics labs

  • You have a sound understanding of the principles of optics and mechanics.

  • You have experience programming and analyzing data in Python, have basic understanding of version control (Git) and software development practices.

  • Have the ability to work independently and gather insight and support from the team around you.

  • You possess skill and enthusiasm for experimental work in measurement labs as well as in Bio Safety Level 2 labs

  • You are able to create structured documentation and clearly-written investigation reports.

  • You communicate fluently in English (written and spoken), in German as an advantage.


Additional Information

  • The preferred start date for the internship is April 2026.

  • Minimum duration of the internship is 6 months and a maximum of 12 months.
