EquipmentShare is searching for a student intern to join the team at our Home Office in Columbia, MO for the SPRING of 2026.

Salary range: $18-20/hr. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct keyword and competitor research to identify opportunities for organic traffic growth.
  • Support implementation of on-page SEO improvements such as title tags, meta descriptions, and content structure.
  • Monitor key SEO metrics (clicks, impressions, CTR, ranking positions) using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and ahrefs.
  • Prepare reports summarizing insights and recommendations for the Web Experience team.
  • Help monitor Google Ads performance and compare paid vs. organic trends.
  • Identify content or landing page improvements that could increase conversion rates from both paid and organic channels.
  • Participate in UX and usability research to understand how users engage with the EquipmentShare website.
  • Assist in documenting user feedback, page behavior data, and A/B testing outcomes.
  • Help the design and development teams ensure new pages or features meet quality and accessibility standards.
  • Contribute to creating user flow diagrams or content improvement recommendations based on research.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of EquipmentShare’s rental process — from discovery through checkout and post-rental support.
  • Audit pages that contribute to the rental funnel (e.g., location finder, equipment pages, forms) and identify friction points.
  • Coordinate with marketing and customer service teams to ensure that rental information is accurate, consistent, and easy to find.
  • Track performance of local pages and location directories as part of the company’s local SEO strategy.
  • Assist with performance tracking dashboards in Looker or Monday.com.
  • Prepare weekly summaries highlighting SEO improvements, paid traffic performance, and UX testing updates.
  • Research emerging trends in SEO, UX, and conversion rate optimization to bring new ideas to the team.
  • Support documentation of web optimization processes and update Notion or shared repositories for knowledge management.

You will be expected to work within the hours of Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm.

What You're Working With

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field. 
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research and on-page optimization.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Comfort working with data and interpreting metrics like CTR, impressions, and page performance.
  • Exposure to UX research or usability testing methods is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, especially for summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple small tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, engineering, product, customer support).
