Micron’s Analog Core Functional Team accelerates the design of analog core subsystems for best-in-class NAND products. We focus on innovation and automation to optimize design cycles and deliver high-performance memory solutions.

Position Overview

As a Design Engineer Intern, you will contribute to the design and validation of analog core IPs, including DC-DC converters, LDOs, high-voltage regulators, bandgap generators, DACs, oscillators, and NAND algorithms. This role combines Electrical Engineering and Computer Science to develop tools that automate schematic generation, layout planning, and waveform synthesis using advanced techniques such as machine learning.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in crafting and validating fundamental analog intellectual properties for NAND products.
  • Develop automation tools for generating schematics, arranging layouts, and routing.
  • Analyze NAND trims for classification and database querying.
  • Apply machine learning methods to synthesize algorithm waveforms.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to accelerate design cycles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing an MS in Electrical Engineering OR BS with 3+ years of experience (graduation date not prior to Dec 2026).
  • Strong foundations in Python programming.
  • Solid understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design (op amps, DACs, ADCs, regulators, oscillators, bandgaps).
  • Knowledge of semiconductor and device physics.
  • Strong circuit debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of design experience.
  • Familiarity with layout planning, matching requirements, and LVS/DRC tools.
  • Basic knowledge of industry simulators (VCS, HSPICE, Spectre).
  • Experience with Cadence tools and verification methodologies.
  • Highly self-motivated with a drive for innovation.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$49.85 - $49.85

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
