Job Summary:

Instructor of English, focused on the teaching of composition and technical writing. Requires firm commitment—shared among all faculty—for teaching composition in a humanities-based English program. The ideal candidate will have experience mentoring developmental, Dual Credit, and/or ESL students and demonstrated excellence in teaching.

 MA in English or related field required.

* This position is being hired for the Fall 2026 semester. *

Work Performed: 

  • Teach 5 English composition and/or technical writing courses per semester each Fall and Spring semester. Courses may vary between in-person and online, depending on departmental needs.
  • Faculty service (e.g., committee participation, assessment).

Necessary Qualifications:

MA in English or closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for and demonstrated experience in teaching English composition, technical writing, and/or English as a Second Language.
  • Ability to teach a range of composition and technical writing courses.
  • Pedagogical creativity and innovation a plus.
