Boeing Defense is looking for an Inspector- Operational Support in the Ridley Park, PA location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection of geometric characteristics and detail parts for conformance to blueprints and specifications.

  • Utilize precision measuring equipment to inspect geometric characteristics and tolerances of parts, assemblies, raw materials, supplies, assemblies, subassemblies, tools, master gages, fixtures, and packaged materials to ensure quality, usability and dimensional accuracy.

  • Inspect rigging, installation, security, and operating condition of rotor blade components.

  • Perform teetering and blade balancing operations. Inspect whirl tower equipment for operational and safety conditions.

  • Move blades within and between work areas.

  • Perform final inspection of rotor blades.

  • Stamp or otherwise approve acceptable work, order rejection or rework. Prepare and maintain required paperwork and charts.

  • May be required to perform inspection and/or re-inspection duties at subsidiary plants, vendor or subcontractor plants.

  • May advise subcontractors and in-plant personnel of acceptable methods of inspection and interpretation of Company standards.

  • Perform all work in accordance with prints, specifications, oral or written instructions and in conformance with Company standards of safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practice.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location option.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be a Current UAW Member

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • High school diploma/GED and/or vocational/trade school training preferred

This position is for 1st shift

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary Pay Range: $37.24 to $54.66

This is an hourly position governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining agreement.
