At Airgas, our Inside Sales team shares and provides PPE safety supplies, welding equipment and industrial gas through telesales channels to new and existing customers. Our dedicated and skilled specialists are a vital part of the Airgas omnichannel approach to the market. Our Total Access division provides the unique connection to everything Airgas has to offer.

We provide thorough training on the products we provide, their applications, and applicable regulations.
Training also includes SOPs, software, and on-site welding (no prior experience required) so that we can represent the products and applications we provide knowledgeably.
The initial training period is 4 weeks and includes sales development training.
Commercial leads are provided, and you will be aligned with a Sales Team focused on a specific US geography or market.
Upon being assigned impactful new contributions, you will earn additional compensation.
You will work collaboratively with our stores, distribution centers, and field personnel.
We make it our mission to provide honest, sincere, and courteous assistance to the customer's needs, ensuring that expectations are met and advanced.
As a primary partner for the customer, you will coordinate all aspects of a customer's questions and requests.
You will make pricing decisions and provide written and verbal pricing quotes to customers in an organized, timely, and professional manner.
We have a defined and robust career path for our sales team to grow into, in addition to sales management and other Airgas career opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is welcomed and valued.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build alignment through telephone and digital channels.
History of contributing to customer satisfaction or sales goals in a retail, professional, or service environment.
Proficient with basic computer navigation and the ability to learn new software systems with our provided training.
Resilient and results-oriented mindset with a focus on providing excellent customer solutions.
Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively alongside stores and distribution teams.
1-3 years of prior experience in an inside sales, outbound customer service, or a similar relationship-based role.
Familiarity with industrial products, safety supplies, or the gases industry is a plus, though we provide comprehensive training.
A natural curiosity for technical applications and a desire to advance your knowledge in welding or safety regulations.
Experience developing outreach strategies or managing a set of client relationships.
Ability to foster understanding when navigating complex customer requests or pricing structures.
