Job Description – Integrations Engineer

The Role

The Integrations Engineer is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and validating the integration, programming, and maintenance of PLCs, PanelView systems, robots, and SCADA platforms to ensure reliable plant operation. This role leads daily support for automation and control systems, supervises Integration Engineers and Instrumentation Technicians, and develops new automation applications, system upgrades, and technological integrations aligned with production needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate daily support for production equipment, ensuring timely response to failures, stoppages, and operational needs.
  • Validate and release system integrations between plant equipment and new instrumentation.
  • Program and maintain PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and robots according to plant requirements.
  • Implement SCADA systems and maintain software updates and functionality.
  • Develop new automation applications, integrations, and equipment designs based on operational needs.
  • Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance for PLCs, PanelViews, robots, and automation networks.
  • Evaluate automation and control suppliers and manage ISO‑9000 documentation.
  • Supervise and train Instrumentation Technicians and Junior Integration Engineers; oversee weekly shift rotations.
  • Audit automation and control systems to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain program backups and ensure version control for all automated systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and plant EHS requirements.
  • Stop any unsafe activity when necessary and participate in incident investigations.
  • Request materials and services needed for preventive maintenance of plant systems.
  • Support HPT initiatives and cross‑functional improvement projects.

  • Well‑trained technical team aligned with plant needs.

What You Bring

  • Education: Degree in Electronic, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Background in Automation, Control & Instrumentation, Project Engineering, or Process Engineering.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens)
    • Robot programming
    • Motion control systems
    • SCADA programming and administration
    • HMI development
    • Industrial instrumentation
    • Industrial networks
    • Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagram interpretation
    • AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Languages: English – 80%
  • Other Requirements: Some travel required; no relocation; occasional support across shifts.

Work Model & Travel

  • On‑site position at the plant.
  • Travel as needed for cross‑plant projects or technology integrations.
