Job Description
This role manages continuous improvement projects, ensures robust machine controls and IT integration, and provides expert-level troubleshooting for Allen-Bradley, Siemens and Fanuc PLCs, Fanuc Robots, and vision Keyence and Cognex Vision systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills, fluent English communication, and the ability to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
- Establish and enforce programming standards, documentation practices, and safety compliance.
- Balance priorities between production support and project execution.
Technical Responsibilities
- Support and integrate Fanuc robots (TP programming, safety zones, handshakes with PLCs).
- Configure and maintain Siemens systems
- Implement and troubleshoot vision systems (Cognex In-Sight/VisionPro, Keyence).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and ladder logic.
- Ensure robust IT integration using industrial protocols (EtherNet, Profibus, Profinet, etc.)
- Support CNC machine interfaces and data collection systems.
Project & Continuous Improvement
- Drive Throughput Improvements, reduce downtime, and enhance system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ME, Maintenance, IT, Quality, Operations).
Other responsibilities will include:
- Develop and document requirements required to design an automotive system
- Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to enable component reuse and consistency to standard methodologies
- Oversee requirements development with other activities
- Provide support to other specialists for root cause analysis
- Strong ability to expertly capture and analyze empirical data.
- Design Tests to efficiently find opportunities for design improvements
- Stay on top of industry trends, technologies, and standard methodologies.
- Identify and document system vulnerabilities and craft mitigation action plans; track corrective actions
- On Site: This position requires to work on site on a full-time basis.
- Availability to work rotating shifts on a 4x3 schedule.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer and all Engineering related or related experience.
- Required experience in similar position: 3 years or more
- English Level: Intermediate.
- Key Skills: Experience working with PLCs from Siemens, Allen Bradley and FANUC brands (Programming and troubleshooting skills), experience working with Vision systems (Keyence and Cognex)
