Job Summary: This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This is a Permanent WG-8268-10 AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0097000 is part of the MO 131st Bomb Wing. This is a bargaining unit position.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - TSgt (E-6) Minimum Military Grade - A1C (E-3) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training which demonstrates knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems. Must have ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work. WG-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience in repairing, rebuilding and overhauling systems and major components of aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning and examining parts for corrosion, wear, scratches, cracks or other damage, replacing gaskets and other worn parts, and reassembling accessories. Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedy when overall knowledge of the entire system is necessary in order to correct a malfunction. Experience in repairing, rebuilding and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience using and interpreting technical manuals, specifications and publications. Possession (or previous possession) of AFSC 2A6X4 is optimum.
