Industrial Engineer – LMS Specialist

Position Summary
The Industrial Engineer – LMS Specialist plays a key role in driving productivity, labor optimization, and operational efficiency within the Ferguson Fulfillment Network. This role combines Industrial Engineering expertise with advanced Labor Management System (LMS) knowledge to develop and sustain engineered labor standards, enhance system performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across distribution centers.
This position partners closely with Industrial Engineering, Operations Leadership, and cross-functional technical teams to deliver data-driven insights and scalable operational solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support the Labor Management System (LMS), including configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance across assigned distribution centers.
Develop, document, and sustain engineered labor standards, associate best methods, and operational best practices.
Ensure LMS data integrity through audits, performance monitoring, and alignment with engineered standards.
Deliver LMS training for new sites, leaders, and analysts.
Support development of the Labor Management Program Center of Excellence.
Partner with Area IE teams and local distribution center leadership to identify operational gaps and implement sustainable solutions.
Capture, cleanse, validate, and analyze large operational datasets using Excel, Access, and SQL.
Generate analytical insights to support warehouse design, slotting optimization, productivity improvement, and performance enhancement.
Lead SQL development for warehouse design tools and reporting platforms.
Translate business requirements into actionable reporting, system enhancements, and process improvements.
Develop data visualizations (Power BI or similar) to communicate performance trends and opportunities.
Ensure analytical models, calculations, and reporting processes are accurate and well documented.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, distribution, LMS administration, or industrial engineering.
Strong experience with labor standards and labor management systems in distribution or fulfillment environments.
Experience with Easy Metrics or comparable LMS platforms; familiarity with engineered labor standards required.
Proven success implementing LMS solutions and performance incentive programs.
Working knowledge of warehouse operations, distribution processes, WMS functionality, and LMS–WMS interfaces.
Experience supporting warehouse design and slotting logic.
Proficiency in SQL Server (Oracle SQL preferred).
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills for complex data analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Demonstrated project management capability and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to influence and lead change without direct authority.

Pay Range:

$4,750.00 - $7,133.34-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
