The Immigration & Global Mobility Specialist, Americas oversees end-to-end work authorization, immigration, and mobility processes for employees and candidates across the Americas region. This role currently manages all U.S. employment-based immigration casework and will expand to include Canada, Mexico, and South America as the team’s footprint grows.
Serving as the central point of coordination between external immigration counsel, HR teams, hiring managers, and foreign national employees, this position ensures timely, compliant, and employee-focused support for immigration and mobility matters across the region.
This position is based in Houston, TX. We are open to candidates based in Richmond, VA.
As a part of the team, you will:
Manage the full lifecycle of U.S. employment-based immigration cases (H‑1B, L‑1, TN, E‑3, permanent residency, etc.), including the coordination of end‑to‑end global mobility processes for employees relocating internationally, including Long‑Term Assignments (LTA), Short‑Term Assignments (STA), and Foreign Local Hires (FLH).
Develop workflows for expanding immigration services support to Canada, Mexico, and South America in partnership with the Central Global Mobility Manager, to ensure alignment in regional practices with global mobility and immigration frameworks.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance operational consistency, and improve the overall employee experience.
Maintain compliant and accurate, auditable records, including Public Access Files (PAFs), immigration status tracking, and I‑9 updates.
Support foreign national onboarding and cross‑border transitions, identifying potential issues early and escalating as needed.
Maintain tracking systems and develop reporting, metrics, and insights for HR and leadership, including program performance, resource needs, and regional trends.
Liaise with external immigration attorneys and coordinate case documentation, preparation, and communication.
Manage relationships with immigration counsel, tax providers, and relocation partners, ensuring quality service delivery, cost effectiveness, and accurate invoice processing.
Counsel Talent Acquisition, managers, HR partners, and employees on immigration requirements, work authorization pathways, risks, and case strategy.
Provide consultation to employees, managers, and HR while managing international assignments, including long‑term and short‑term assignments and foreign local hires, to ensure alignment across immigration, tax considerations, and relocation requirements and logistics.
What you know:
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience), and:
A minimum of 3 years of corporate immigration or global mobility experience managing U.S. employment‑based immigration matters (L‑1, TN, H‑1B, E-3, etc.); 5+ years preferred
Strong understanding of immigration compliance, case processing, cross-border mobility considerations and documentation requirements.
Experience supporting Canada, Mexico, or South America immigration programs preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with global and culturally diverse employee populations.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with sound judgment and confidentiality.
Experience managing vendors and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders is a strong plus.
Familiarity with immigration case management platforms (e.g., INSZoom) desired.
Strength in process improvement, critical thinking, regional awareness, and operational discipline.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The base salary for this role is $80,000 - $105,000.
