This position offers a unique experience with Sanford Imagenetics - the precision medicine program at Sanford Health. The intern has opportunities to work directly with experts on our highly collaborative and multidisciplinary team and will have opportunities to work on a variety of projects. Projects may include but are not limited to literature searches, contributing to clinical research projects with possible publication, shadowing opportunities, patient, provider and clinic engagement, process and programmatic audits, and document review or amendment.

JOB SUMMARY

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates a basic understanding of organizational project management practices and tools. Researches business related data and generates and interprets basic analytics. Collaborates with departmental associates and management. Demonstrates an ability to meet own responsibilities. Describes opportunities for taking initiative in the organization. Demonstrates the ability to respond to change. Demonstrates an expectation that there will be ongoing shifts in demands and priorities. Identifies tasks or outputs that require accuracy and detail-level attention. Delivers formal and informal stand-up presentations or demos to audiences of all kinds. Demonstrates the ability to speak, write and present clearly.

 

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

Three pillars or Imagenetics initiative are clinical care, research and education. An intern would work with us on various clinical care, education and research projects. As we increase our research portfolio and projects, we will have a need for interns to help us with data collection, management and analysis. We continue to educate various members our Sanford family internally as well as the local community and will need help to support this important initiative. Finally, we may need support helping inform patients about the opportunity to enroll in the Sanford Chip and research studies, so this position may interface with patients. Patient Enrollment Data Collection Data management Data Analysis Creating Reports Department specific and committee meetings Document Management Quality and Process Improvement projects Qualifications: Must be able to commit to the scheduled hours during the 12 week internship, strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must have strong written and verbal skills. Must be able to take initiative on projects and manage from start to finish.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
