HVAC Maintenance Technician

This position will work Monday - Friday 7-330 PM,

however, various hours may be required based on business demand.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $38.00 -$42.00 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.

As the HVAC Facilities maintenance technician, you will be responsible for daily support activities, including:

  • Assisting site Leadership in the execution of all daily operations for the facilities team.
  • Monitoring and adjusting the building HVAC and mechanical systems, acknowledging critical building alarms, and taking appropriate corrective actions and responding after hours should repairs be needed.
  • Acting as technical expert in the areas of HVAC and BMS
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure space condition are in accordance with building requirements.
  • General building repairs, patching/painting, light bulbs, ceiling tiles, floor work etc.
  • Work in a team environment with a one team mentality; be friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional to teammates and clients.
  • Value and respect employee authenticity and demonstrate cultural awareness to create a memorable experience and a respectful workplace.
  • Balance workload and multiple tasks while focusing on attention to detail and prioritizing assignments.
  • Take initiative to resolve issues that arise and solve problems independently; shift priorities as needed
  • Ability to focus on customer relations and client partnering.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • D-2 license
  • Eight years of technical experience in any skilled trade
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, various shifts, and weekends
  • This position may require a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be a United States citizen or Permanent Resident.

Some physical requirements include:

  • Regularly lift to 50 lbs
  • Regularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding
  • Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement
  • Walk extensively throughout the building during shift
  • Ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations.

Special Requirements: Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree preferred.
  • Experience in the operation of building management systems
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Programs.
  • Demonstrated technical background of operations in an pharmaceutical or hospital facilities environment
  • OE2, S-1 or S-2 license
  • USP 797 and 897 knowledge
