Job Requisition: Human Resources & Payroll Representative (Full-Time)
Job Title: Human Resources & Payroll Representative

Position Summary
The Human Resources & Payroll Representative is responsible for supporting daily HR operations and ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, payroll, benefits, and personnel matters, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources

  • Administer employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain personnel files and HRIS records with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist with employee relations, policy interpretation, and HR inquiries
  • Support recruitment activities including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee questions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Support audits, reports, and HR metrics as needed

Payroll

  • Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Review and verify timekeeping records, PTO, and payroll adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and payroll regulations
  • Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefit contributions
  • Respond to employee payroll-related questions and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits and reconciliations

Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Human Resources and payroll processing
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems required

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, wage and hour laws, and employment regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
  • Experience with multi-state payroll
  • Healthcare or multi-entity organization experience

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
  • Standard office environment
