Human Resource Business Partner (FT- 1.0 FTE, Day Shift)

Position Summary: 

Provide hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice with respect to employee relations, coaching/counseling, career development, union relationships/interactions, including conflict management and disciplinary / performance guidance conversations in partnership with hiring managers. Acts as a resource to leaders and employees to interpret policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements. Assists System Manager/System Director and leadership of the organization in policy development and training. Partners with leadership in diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and driving talent initiatives within their teams that help them meet their objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five (5) years direct Employee Relations experience
  • Minimum eight (8) years direct HR Generalist or other HR functional experience
  • Knowledge of applicable state employment laws, collective bargaining, and complex HR compliance reporting such as Affirmative Action, EEO, and Vet-100
  • Knowledge of current Human Resource centers of excellence such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Preferred

  • SHRM or HRCI Professional Certification

Essential Job Functions:

In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

  • Act as a resource and assists in resolving employee relations issues and administering disciplinary actions between departments/divisions.
  • Assists with all voluntary and involuntary terminations. Conducts exit interviews and assists with all facets of the employee experience from onboarding to off boarding.
  • Collect and analyze HR data to develop process improvement to HR policies, programs and operations.
  • Works in conjunction with HR leadership to develop and deliver training to new and existing leaders in the organization as it pertains to Human Resources and the employee experience.
  • Acts as primary liaison between HR and System business units.
  • Deliver on strategic initiatives for Human Resources with System business units ensuring adaptation and success in areas such as engagement, DEI, career development, and retention of high performing employees.
  • Prepare internal employee communications regarding HR functional areas.
  • Provides cross-functional support in other HR areas (i.e. benefits, recruitment, compensation, etc.).

Schedule Requirements

  • This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
  • The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
